1995 Hyundai Lantra GLS Automatic

Spotted this at the end of summer, and left a note under the wiper. The owner called me just over a month later saying the car had failed an MOT and was wondering if I was still interested in it. I of course was, so arranged to collect it from SE London that weekend. The owner said it was going to be scrapped if I didn’t buy it, so he was glad the car could live on, as after owning it since 2004, was rather attached to it, but couldn’t justify the work required to pass another MOT.

 

After taking it for a retest at my local garage, it was obvious that the garage he went to was rather harsh on the car. It still failed on a couple of items, but nothing too serious. I got the failure work done, cleaned the bodywork up, then sold the car on a few months later, with the new owner picking it up from me last weekend. I’m glad it has a new lease of life, and will be staying local to me, so will hopefully see it driving around the area.
