E50TYG (OIJ864) Dewsbury Bus Museum Spring 2017 Running Day
New to West Riding Auto Company (Wakefield) in January 1988, Leyland Royal Tiger Doyen E50 TYG has seen use with Wheels Museum of Transport Heritage (Hinckley) and with Midland Red Coaches as 6150. A real turn-up for this event, 50 is owned by Julie Aylward who has lovingly restored it back into the Ridings Travel livery this wore when new, Ridings Travel being the coaching unit for West Riding - and this time around the coach had been at London Victoria for an event the day before, and set off at 6am running the X64 feeder service to this Dewsbury running day: quite possibly the longest feeder service for a bus rally! For a while this carried the ageless plate of OIJ 864.
