What goes around comes around.

There are many like it, but what makes Beckov castle so distinctive, is its position on top of a 230-ft rock overlooking the town and dominating the rural landscape for miles around.

The castle and its rocky settings have inspired numerous folkloric tales, including the story the lord of the castle having his servant thrown down from the rock because he protected his child from the lord’s favourite dog. Before his death, the servant put a curse on the lord saying that they would meet in a year and a days’ time, which really happened after exactly that amount of time, when the lord fell down the same cliff after being bitten by a snake.
