A street scene in Don Mueang

There are accommodations outside of the airport but the area was not very tourist oriented like in the centres of Bangkok. Rather, it had a feel of outlying neighbourhoods for Thais.

Don Mueang roughly translates to "city heights" due to its slightly uplifted terrain compared to the low alluvial plain of the Chao Phraya river.
