December 15, 2011 Mountain View Fire Department opened their brand new Fire Station 5, which will be home to Engine 5 and Hazmat 5.
The newest vehicle in the Mountain View Fire fleet is Battalion 18, a 2011 Chevy Silverado, complete with a custom Command Center. This rig completes the front line fleet replacement for Mountain View, with all seven engines and the Truck bing replaced in 2009, the Rescue and the Hazmat in 2010, and the Chief's buggy in 2011.
