More american sounding than one might think...
There is no denying the Beatles had a HUGE influence on modern music as we know it. I for one was inspired to pick up guitar because of them.
But an interesting note is that aside from Paul's Hofner bass, the rest of the instruments they played were all American made!
George's Gretsch guitars were made in New York. John's (and George's) Rickenbackers were made in California and Ringo's Ludwig drums were produced in Indiana... Ringo was so proud of his "Imported from America" drums that he had the Ludwig logo printed on the bass drum head (it didn't come from the factory that way) So there you have it. The British Invasion was played on American Instruments... Kinda cool huh? :)
