The orthodox Jews are very strict concerning physical contact of women and men: a woman is not allowed to touch any other man except her husband (even not to shake hands with an acquaintance); and during her menstruation she is not allowed to have a physical contact even with him.
Yet, my impression is that Ultra-Orthodox children have more physical contact with each other than other children in Israel.
I assume one can explain it in different ways.
