Hello dear Flickr friends,

 

another moment in the photo that touches me yesterday. It is a wonderful thing to compose from the POV in the sky. I had some software problems with the Hasselblad and the basic flight settings, especially the GPS software yesterday. All photos I made yesterday I got in JPG but not in RAW format. I chose it in the basic settings but I think because of the software update and the missing wifi outside I flow with a not optimal system. Later when I was on the way for my job I crossed a little lake and I wanted to make a shot from above, but I was a little afraid because of the missing software update and so this project found an early end. At last I had to catch the drone with my hands, because there was a GPS wall at the border to the lake. But it was no nature reserve and it was ok to fly here.

I decided to make all current drone updates and the updates from the smart controller and really... all problems were done.

 

I do not fly with automatic functions like RTH or automatically Take Off or Landing maneuvers to have some more handling control. Always a good training with a drone that has a speed of 72 km/h. I always want to see the drone in front of me, sometimes as a little point in the sky...;) I started with two little Snaptain drones last year, now I fly with the Mavic Mini 12 MP (a really wonderful-wonderful-wonderful drone, but better to start with a low budget drone to learn drone flying) and now since some month the Mavic 2 Pro with 20MP Hasselblad camera and a smart controller. The smart controller is a wonderful thing because you need no more mobile phone while flying and the screen is really breathtaking. It is just wonderful for a photographer to have such a flying camera by your side. I try to be a careful pilot. You can read everywhere from drone flights that ends with a total crash and a damage of thousands of Euros. Sometimes on the first day of flying. Beware... I met a Pro drone pilot on these days and he showed me his Phantom 4 Pro in the sky, a wonderful drone. While the landing maneuver he flow between a group of trees and the drone crashed because of a gust of wind, fell down like a stone. Unfortunately with the result of a total loss. Godness, I was totally sad about this incident. But he was controlled. A new experience, but a very expensive lesson.

 

I will do my best, fly the drones like my babies and shit, I know little accidents with babies are normal, because they have a lot of energy and if you look only 1 second in the wrong direction....

 

Now I have to start the experiential SUP tour. I will take the Mavic Mini with me. See you tomorrow, from a higher POV.
