Milky Way over Glacier Point, Yosemite

I had a 6 day solo trip to Yosemite and Eastern Sierra during July 4th Week, I had a blast. People usually say "women shouldn't go alone". The trip went amazingly well. I met people, most of them were photographers, Stargazer, Joe. Hard-core photographers (two D800 camera, two Canon MKII, several tripods, tracking mount for night shots etc), Arwinder and his son Jon, and Frank from Louisiana who supposed to climb Mt. Whitney on 8th etc. I can go where and when I want to. I don't have to worry about someone else if they are interested in. When I am on my own, it forces me out of my comfort zone, a desire do to more and see more on one’s own terms. Traveling solo is freeing and helps you to become more aware, both of yourself and of your surroundings.

This is from my first stop during this trip, Glacier Point, Yosemite.

7 shots for Sky, 7 shots foreground, merged and blended via photoshop.

Jon asked me if anyone ever done Milky way monochrome, here you are, Jon! I think monochrome works well with Glacier Point, hope you like it.
