USS MISSOURI BB-63. Closeup of the bow and an anchor. Note the "Don't Tread On Me" jack flying on the jackstaff. The Navy returned to using this flag design, first used in 1775, shortly after the attack on the World Trade Center on 9/11.

 

Here is an article about the use of the "First Navy Jack (Don't Tread on Me)" and the "Union Jack" which was a blue field with white stars representing each state:
