大草虾鲜肉生煎 (Pan-Fried Buns With Prawns)

Lunch @ "Da Hu Chun" (大壶春) in Shanghai.

 

I finally made my way to the real McCoy to check the chain out.

 

These old-school buns were crispy on the outside and bready on the inside. There was not a lot of juices as per this style.

 

There are only 2 types of filling on offer: Pure pork and Pork With Prawns. I opted for the latter. The filling was extremely moist and soft; umami and succulent. And the sole prawn in each bun was fresh.

 

Very worthwhile for an order of 4 buns for 10RMB.
