担担面 (Dan Dan Noodles)

Lunch @ '老转村川菜馆', the Sichuan cuisine restaurant arm of the Hotel I was staying at.

 

NOODLES! and yet more NOODLES. The northern love for starchy staple utterly destroyed this petite Sichuan delight as there was a great in-balance in taste - there was simply not enough sauce and ingredients to flavour the noodles completely and I am left with a mountain of bland and oily noodles.

 

I LOVE Dan Dan Noodles and this ended up unfortunately, on the worst-I-ever-had end of the liking spectrum.
