Nepalese Mixed Vegetable Curry (Mismas Tarkari)

Nope, not a teeny weeny smidgen of Chinese in this - this is in fact, a Nepalese meal in Shanghai @ "The Nepali Kitchen".

 

Bell peppers, potatoes and cauliflowers made up the majority of the vegetable. They were very soft and very tender. I enjoyed this 'baby food' texture.

 

The curry was a smidgen on the sourish side, compared to the meat versions and there was the unmistaken presence of cumin, as the taste of cuminaldehyde, the main chemical found in cumin, exploded in my mouth between spoonfuls of curry gravy.
