麻酱豆角 (Poached Long Beans with Sesame Paste)

Dinner @ '聚丰德' (Jufengde) in Jinan, a renounced chain of restaurant serving Shandong cuisine.

 

A touch of greens to start the meal - poached long beans served cold with roasted sesame paste. The richness of the Tahini-like sauce worked well with the phenolic greenness of the beans, while the crunchiness of the beans came across as refreshing.
