全家福 (Family Casserole)

Lunch @ '兴熙北' in Chengdu, near the Spice Wholesale Market.

 

A taste of the rural farms. Pork balls, fried quail eggs, mushrooms, black woodear fungus and fresh greens made into a casserole stew for the entire family. Rustic, flavourful and extremely pleasing to the eye.

 

And oh, a non spicy Sichuan offering. A rare thing!
