冰镇手剥笋 (Bamboo Shoots On The Rocks)

So, one is in Sichuan. So, lets eat what the Pandas eat.

 

Boiled bamboo shoots were served on ice cubes as an appetiser and a salad. One needs only to peel away the outer bark to extract the tender shoots within.

 

They are a delicate treat! Crunchy and full of juices. Very fresh; very umami. An absolute delight!
