Boiled Edamane (盐煮枝豆或毛豆/鹽煮枝豆或毛豆)
Lunch inside Terminal 2 of Taoyuan International Airport.
Edamane is just a Japanese name that has become synonymous with this dish. They are basically raw soybeans and are very popular in Northeast Asia (China, Taiwan and Japan). The most common ways to prepare them are to steam them or boiled them in salted water and they are usually served as an appetiser or a side-dish.
Personally, I am not a fan of them.
This came as a side dish for the Stir-Fried Hsinchu Rice Vermicelli.
