Small Steamed Meat Buns (小籠包/小笼包)

Late brunch @ "永和豆漿大王" in Taipei.

 

NOT the typical "Xiaolongbao" people naturally assumes it will be. This is actually steamed small meat buns. They are at a good size - for a chomp or 2.

 

The fillings are quite tasty - a good blend of lean and fatty pork. One can't have all lean meat in buns as it will make the filling awfully dry. However, too much fatty meat will make the buns greasy.
