Braised Spicy Goat's Intestines (焖辣羊肠)
Street food - a bowl for 10RMB.
I am not too sure who will carry a bowl around and eat a bowl of braised goat's intestines on the go but here you are.
Innards are never discarded in China. They make their way into all sorts of dishes and a great number, are really quite delicious. (I know I know, I have a fair number of American colleagues who squirms and squishes in their seats whenever I served them these dishes when they visit China too but hey, if you don't eat them, how do you know the taste? On the other hand, I adore my European colleagues - they will attack such dishes with gusto and bravado.)
Intestines are tough to clean. They leave an animalic foul taste in the mouth if not done well. Continual washing is a must.
