Yunnan Spiced Fried Potatoes (云南香辣土豆)

I never realised how much the locals love potatoes until I start seeing street carts selling this everywhere.

 

Easily prepared - cut up potatoes deep fried and then spiced with all sorts of seasonings. There is a street stall selling just round the corner from the hotel I was staying at and the smell of deep fried potatoes would be the last smell of food I would remember daily.
