Sichuan Chilli Oil Wontons (四川红油抄手)

Lunch @ '永记汤元烫馆' in Chengdu.

 

The Sichuan way of preparing wontons (boiled meat dumplings) - served dry, flavoured with fiery red chilli oil.

 

There is a most famous shop in Chengdu, well know for it's Sichuan style wontons, called "龙抄手"....which alas, I did not had the opportunity to go and have a try.

 

It's a fantastic side dish for any meals.
