Braised Pork Noodles (滷肉麵/卤肉面)
Lunch at a noodle shop near Taichung Train Station in Taichung (台中).
Nothing spectacular and the shop is not a famous one. We had about 1 and a half hours to kill before our train leaves Taichung for Chiayi (嘉義), bound for our final destination of Alishan (阿里山).
We had just moved out of Sun Moon Lake (日月潭) and due to the typhoon the week before, looped up to Taichung City, before catching the train down again to Chiayi.
We were famished and took the lull to catch a simple lunch.
This was my mate's order.
The slices of braised pork was a little tough but other than that, plenty edible.
