Deep Fried Lake Shrimps (香酥潭蝦)

Snacking at Sun Moon Lake (日月潭).

 

One of the specialty of the Lake and favoured by the local indigenous Thao [邵族] aborigines.

 

The lake prawns' miniature size allows it to be deep fried to a crisp and one can just pop them into the mouth like a snack, head, shell, body and all for lovely blasts of shrimpy goodness!
