Deep Fried Freshwater Goby (香酥苦甘魚)

Snacking at Sun Moon Lake (日月潭).

 

The Common Freshwater Goby {Rhinogobius candidianus } is commonly found in the streams of Taiwan, and so is not necessarily indigenous to the Lake itself.

 

However, together with the Lake Shrimp and the Kiluat Fish, this is another common deep fried snack found around the Lake and is usually offered with the former 2 items as a trio.
