Pig's Blood Cake (猪血糕)

Snacking at Sun Moon Lake (日月潭).

 

Essentially, it is pig's blood steamed with glutinous rice.

 

The reddish-blackish rice cake is then slathered with sweet soysauce gravy and chilli sauce before rolling in a powder mix made up of finely grated peanuts and finely chopped fresh cilantro leaves.
