Truthfully, we were hunting for another famous stall - one that offers Deep Fried Mushroom and Cabbage Pastries - but we stumbled upon this stall instead called "杰记" (Jie Ji)., which was featured on the popular Taiwanese travel-entertainment-culinary show called '食尚玩家'.
Instead of fried, these are in fact, big steamed pumpkin buns (also called Lotus Leave Buns (荷叶包), '割包' or '虎咬豬') made from wheat rice infused with pumpkin bits. The bright yellow colours just screamed "Shoot Me!" and their cries were impossible to ignore.
