Taiwanese Rice Porridge Breakfast (米粥早餐)

Breakfast offered by the hotel/resort I was staying in at Cingjing [清境].

 

It was a Chinese-style Brekkie - with the omnipotent rice porridge cooked with sweet potatoes. The buffet offered egg with preserved radish, braised glutens, stir-fried bamboo shoots, stir-fried cabbage, salted roasted peanuts and pork floss.

 

Seemingly simple - but a very flavourful start to the day.

 

Like bacon in cuisine Americana, egg with preserved radish goes with anything. Anything.
