BBQ Corn-On-The-Cob (烤玉米)
This is also popular across the Strait in Mainland China....more as a street food than a fixed night market staple.
In Taiwan, you get the additional benefits of slathering on various type of sauces to flavour the cob so one can slather on BBQ sauces, sweet sauces, wasabi sauces, chilli sauces etc.
I am not a fan of this street snack. The corn used tend to be starchy and gummy (like eating gum) and all the grits tend to get stuck in places between teeth that drives me mad. I do like corn, but I like the sweet golden kernel type that folks tend to get in Western restaurants. Better and richer flavoured and somehow, less frustrating to consume!
