Smelly Tofu Pork Sausages (臭豆腐猪肉肠)
A weird find at the Shilin Night Market [士林夜市].
An entrepreneur has combined 2 of Taiwan's favourite night market snacks into 1. Well, I am not afraid of smelly tofu (although it does turn lots of people off with its faecal-like sewage-type aroma)...but somehow, when the 2 gets combined, the entire sausage became rather soggy, losing some of the firmness that texturised and defined a sausage. Also, there is this unpleasant acidic aftertaste...as if one is really eating rancid food. I find the latter very unappetising although my mate did not mind it one bit.
I suppose some items are best left on their own to fully appreciate their taste!
