Tamboril Grelhad (Grilled Monkfish)

Lunch in Porto @ Taylor's (of Port Wine fame) in-house restaurant, Restaurante Barao De Fladgate.

 

Last day in Porto; also last day in Portugal. Decided to end it all with a good lunch and thus spent a few dimes more. Opted for Monkfish (my mate raised his eyebrows several notches up - I am not a fish person) - because I heard it is the closest fish to crustaceans texture-wise and decided to throw caution to the wind.

 

My monkfish was served with potatoes and mixed vegetables. It was a tad overdone I think as the flesh was a tad TOO chewy. Yeah, a little like crustacean it did resemble but I think I will take a good old grilled prawn or lobster over the monkfish any day.
