Peus de Porc a la Catalana (Catalan-style Trotters)

A late lunch in Hotel L'Isard.

 

This was a shocking dish. My mate and myself could not dig out any morsel of meat on the trotters. It was as if it was just skin and bones. The upside: Lots of collagen for folks into smooth skin!

 

Prunes were added into the stew, hence giving the broth a sweetish savoury twang. It was fairly tasty but we could not eat too much of it as the fat gets really overwhelming after a few mouthfuls.
