Sambal Bee Hoon
Lunch @ the Chinese eatery in Poon Saan on the island.
Another evidence of Chinese-Malay influence. Rice vermicelli wok-fried with sambal chilli is a common dish found in Singapore and Malaysia.
Simple dish, but no easy to prepare as you need a good blast of "wok aroma" and a very good sambal paste to make this deceptively simply dish work.
