Crab Porridge

This seems to be a very popular porridge in Macau. I had it in a local eatery for breakfast near the Golden Sands Casino.

 

The porridge, or rather congee was very smooth, as per the usual Cantonese style of preparation. It was also light but yet flavourfully umami with a good fresh taste of crab. In fact, I had 2 halves of a crab immersed in the congee. Not much of flesh to be dug out, but the shell definitely imparts a fantastic crustaceous taste!
