Aw Lam
Dinner @ Tum Tum Bamboo in Luang Prabang.
‘Aw Lam' (Luang Prabang Style Green Vegetable Stew), which incidentally shares almost the same ingredients with Thai Green Curry (minus the coconut milk), with lots of greens and local herbs (basil, sawtooth coriander etc), some chicken pieces, miniature green brinjals/eggplants and comes with a local spice added called "Chilli Wood"/"Spicy Wood" (Sa Khan) that impart a most beguiling numbing/spicy character to the stew.
