Fried Shallot Pancakes [葱油饼]

I bumped into this lady that was preparing fresh fried shallot pancakes just outside an old Shanghainese quarter. I started to be-friend and chat with her, and soon she was smiling away as I took photos of how she would prepare the snack.

 

Maybe it was my smile. I had a large piece of Fried Shallot Pancake, made freshly that morning for brekkie!
