炸粿 Fried Prawn Fritter

Snack from "赤坎炸粿".

 

These UFO-shaped fried cakes are popular in Penghu.

Basically it is deep-fried flour batter with imbedded whole pieces of unshelled prawns, fried till crispy that the prawns can be consumed as they are, shell and all.

It is like the Vadai in Singapore.
