Tibetan in Myanmar: Red Lentil Soup

"Wonderful Tasty" was a restaurant in town in Bagan offering Tibetan food. For a change from Myanmarese food, me and my mate tried it and we liked enough to go back for a second time.

 

Red Lentil soup was on the menu. Normally, I am not a big fan of soups with legumes but thought I tried it any way...and it turned out rather nice. The soft-cooked lentils melted in the mouth against a backdrop of savoury soup.
