Wet Thani Chet (Myanmarese Pork Curry)

Lunch at the "Golden Myanmar" Teahouse at Bagan.

 

The buffet offered an assortment of dishes, mainly from the predominant Burmese style (of which the country was named after during colonial times), and is probably the best way to sample a little bit of everything!

 

Pork Curry in Myanmar is probably the least we could associate with curry per se. It's really more like a stew, and in this case, a stew of soft pork bellies. Very tasty but certainly full of sinful fat!
