Lahpet (Pickled Tea Leaves Salad)
Lunch at the "Golden Myanmar" Teahouse at Bagan.
The buffet offered an assortment of dishes, mainly from the predominant Burmese style (of which the country was named after during colonial times), and is probably the best way to sample a little bit of everything!
This is the "close relative" of the Lahpet (Pickled Tea Leaves Salad), with all the ingredients neatly separated this time round, awaiting the eater (me & my mate) to mix it all up. You can see the pickled tea leaves, julienned pickled ginger and the assortment of nuts with sesame seeds.
