Myin Kwa Ywet Thoke (Pennywort Salad)

Lunch at the "Golden Myanmar" Teahouse at Bagan.

 

The buffet offered an assortment of dishes, mainly from the predominant Burmese style (of which the country was named after during colonial times), and is probably the best way to sample a little bit of everything!

 

I must say - this is a first. Pennywort salad. Slightly minty, refreshingly green and had a slight crunchy texture - this was the "breakout" taste of the entire buffet set. I truly enjoyed it!
