Bangers & Mash
Lunch @ "The Stone Trough".
"With gravy & garden peas"
I was keeping an eye for this well-known British dish and I finally encountered it so it was a no-brainer that I was going to order it.
The gravy (which I suspected went into a few dishes at the pub-restaurant) was savoury and worked well to offer both flavour and moistness.
The mashed potato was a tad "rustic", being less lush and smooth but the slight lumpiness, actually paired well with the more chewy sausage.
Enjoyed the sweet green peas as well.
