Dinner @ "Trattoria Toscana" @ Doncaster.

 

"Fillet steak cooked in sambuca liquer, mushrooms, fresh chillies, a touch of tomato and flamed in brandy sauce"

 

Italian fillet steak.

Another item on the menu that I have not encountered before.

Steak served (or almost drenched) in a spicy, tangy and umami sauce.

The steak was seared well and was further moisturised by the deluge of sauce.

It was almost like a stew but yet, it is not a stew.

Intriguingly tasty.
