I have never seen this dish before.
From the Internet.....Crespella is being described as "small, folded pancakes, with a savoury (or sweet) filling, sometimes served with a sauce."
The version here, is served almost like a Lasagna.
Whatever it was, it was delicious!
Everyone at the table attacked and went for the gooey stringy warm cheese with gusto, not withstanding the fact that we were hungry as well!
It was a very rich and savoury dish and loaded with umami taste from the ingredients used.
