Hot Dish: Laksa Chicken Curry

"Laksa Chicken Curry finished with coconut milk and served with steamed rice"
This was offered as one of the special menu item of the day.
"Something Asian in the UK?", my skeptical mate, asked.
"Why not?" I was fancying something spicy for a change.
It was a "strange" dish.
Curry? Nah....
Laska? Nah.....
Green Curry then...? Not quite.
But leaving aside the puzzling mystery of what it really was.....it was very decent. Packed full of spicy flavour punctuated with the shards of coconut shavings, the "curry" was rich and warm with spices....with hints of lemongrass, ginger, chilli and lime, giving much life to the chicken, soft and well-cooked without being tough. The rice, was fluffy and cooked really well. It was a comforting dish despite the lack of a clear identity.
