Irish Whisky (Teeling Small Batch)

Visit to "Teeling Distillery".

The typical touristy trail and ends with the complimentary cuppa(s).

From its own website:

"The flagship expression from Dublin's Teeling, the Small Batch Irish whiskey is made with a blend of malt and grain whiskeys, initially aged in ex-Bourbon barrels. Following that, the Teeling folks moved the whiskey over to casks that had previously held Central American rum! In these casks, the whiskey had an extra rest for up to 12 months, before being bottled at 46% ABV without any chill-filtration. Wonderfully full-flavoured, with plenty of fresh fruit, creamy vanilla and lively spice notes to enjoy!"

Yes, it certainly has sweet-caramelic, fruity tones tempered with rummy vanillic brownness.

It didn't had much of exuberant matured woodiness of oak or peatiness that one would associate with whisky however. The lightness came across as refreshing.

Whisky had a spectrum of descriptors depending on its age, how it was aged and of course, how it was enjoyed....as well, as the person who can (or cannot) enjoy it!

I admired the aromatics; I detest the ethanol.

Hospital disinfectant. (Sniff)
