Traditional Fish & Chips

Dinner @ "Brannigan's".

 

"Fresh fish of the day in a light O’Hara’s beer batter with handcut chunky chips, mint pea purée and a lemon caper dip."

 

I am in the part of the world where this dish comes from....so, presto!

Except for the wedge-like chips (nope, not a fan of anything thicker than a shoestring), I enjoyed the dip (anything with capers....sold), the pea puree and the crunchy-battered fish was certainly light, airy, flaky and tender. Cod it was not. I hadn't ask but maybe it was the Haddock? Well....whatever fish it was....it was really moist and supple.
