Cheeseburger & Sweet Potato Fries

Lunch @ "Bunsen".

"Toppings: Pickle, onion, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mustard, mayo"

My first ever meal in Ireland and it's a cheeseburger from this popular local chain.

Unlike their American cousins, the eatery itself had more of a cafe meets drink joint vibe.

Someone will in fact, direct you to your seat so this was not your typical fast food joint.

It didn't stop the lunch crowd from packing the place in for lunch.

I had the burger with all the works and mate insisted on having sweet potato fries (even though Ireland is famous for potatoes).

I demanded my burger medium well-done (jet lag and bad stomach do not mix well) so the burger was a little drier than usual.

In all fairness, the burger was plenty nice but it was nothing that rocked my world.

As for the sweet potato fries, not the best I ever had really (though certainly not the worst) but I didn't like that I have to shake the salt off each stick. (and folks are concerned with salt intake in Western countries....me remarking to mate with my eyes rolled to the back)

It was kinda "anti-climatic" to start my Irish culinary foray with a burger but on the other hand, it could only improve from here.
