Xinjiang Lamb Skewers

Dinner @ "The Kongsee".

 

"Inspired by Xinjiang & Chinese street food; cumin seasoned, grilled & served with a Garlic Cumin Yogurt."

 

The first bite really sang "Xinjiang Lamb Skewers" as the first waft of cuminic zing hit the nose and palette, followed by a rush of spice warmth and then the smoky grilled invasion of chargrilled lamb.

 

However, unlike the real McCoy street food, the upmarket morsels of meat were a tad chunky and they came across a tad chewy and tough...even with the yohurt on offer.
