Dish 9: Fennel Sangria Plum

I knew this dish from "Andre" but here, in Taipei, the Taiwanese plum was celebrated. It was sweeter and deeper-tasting than those that were used in Singapore, which was slightly more acidic and astringent. It was even more successful to soak up the fruity sweetness of the Sangria, quite evident by the deep maroon-ness of the shine ; it was a jug of joy exploding in my mouth.
Nonetheless, if I am to be picky....I do think I still miss that little bit extra of tang and tart in the Singapore version - it was slightly more balanced in taste.
