Rye Bread

Rye bread is the soul of the Baltics.

Every bakery and restaurant have their own version with some twists.

 

The version at Restaurant CRU reminded me of a Christmas cake minus the booze. Intensely brown (molasses like) in taste, with texture contrasts provided by mixed nuts, seeds and dried fruits.
